 Large Polyped Stony Corals are generally larger calcareous corals with large fleshy polyps. Most of the LPS corals produce long sweeper tentacles which they use to keep other corals a safe distance away.  Feeding these corals is common practice and most LPS appreciate mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, or other small bits of meaty foods.

Description

An amazing lps!  The Dendro is very much like the common sun polyps (aka Orange Tubastrea) but the difference is wonderful.  Unlike Sun Polyps, Dendros stay open during the day, they only need to be fed once or twice a week, and each head reaches a mature size of over one inch.  The contrasting color of the mouth is stricking.  Best placement for a Dendro is on the sand bed in low light and moderate flow.
