Since 1997, our love of the ocean and coral reefs has grown. During those years we learned a great deal about about the diversity and beauty that coral reefs had to offer. As our love for this hobby continues to grow we have become more and more aware of the failing conditions of our beloved reefs and the importance of keeping tank raised coral. As a result, we started propagating our own corals and sharing them with fellow hobbyist and eventually the Cultivated Reef was born.

We are a relatively small coral farm, with only five systems running. This allows us to offer a level of personal customer service that is hard to beat with other big online vendors. Our primary focus is on growing and selling aquacultured corals but we also offer a few of the more readily available wild corals which is often seen in our WYSIWYG category.

Perhaps the most important thing we can say about ourselves is that we are hobbiest too. Our love for this hobby is what drives us. It is extremely important to us that every customer has a positive experience so that they too can enjoy an appreciation for our incredible reefs.
